Glow about your day and WFH like a Boss

Pj’s all day, AC set to your perfect temperature — For some, working from home sounds like a dream come true. To others however, the thought of lacking direct communication with your boss and piles of distracting laundry in your work space brings on an entirely different level of job anxiety.

We’ve learned that working from home might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you (like us here at MineTan HQ) are temporarily joining the ranks of the WFH sweatpants crew, welcome! We’ve put together a list of a few ways to glow about your work day at home and maybe even impress your boss while you’re at it!

1. Start your day off right.

First things first: If you waste the part of your day when you are the most fresh and energetic, it’s all downhill from there. When you work from home, it can be extremely hard to stay focused & not get distracted by other things (especially when you’re missing that venti cold brew from the cute barista in your office). To ensure you make the most out of your workday, start the morning by making a list of your most important to-do’s. Then, when you hit that mid-afternoon slump, you can use that time for less energy-intensive tasks like scrolling @MineTanBodySkin on Instagram.

2. Stick to your regular morning routine.

The temptation to roll out of bed, slide on your fav pink fuzzy slides and make your way over to your laptop in your pajamas IS REAL. Or let’s be honest, maybe not even get out of bed in the first place? But sticking to the same routine you’d follow if you were heading into the office is key for a successful WFH day. This routine will vary for everyone, for us it looks something like this:

3. Set up a dedicated workspace.

It’s important to remember that when you work from home you’re always at home – but you’re also always at work. The point here is to clearly define a place in your house where only work happens. At all costs, avoid turning your entire home into your office. Having a set space for work makes you more likely to get things done when you are there, and just as importantly allows you to disconnect when you are not. Wherever you decide to set up, we suggest keeping a bottle of our Rose Illuminating Facial Tan Mist close by for any impromptu FT calls.

4. Take Breaks.

It can be hard to separate work from play when you do both at home, which makes taking breaks throughout your workday incredibly important. Whether this means stepping away from your screens to promote your four-legged friend to Executive Assistant, or filming a Tanning Tutorial video for TikTok (psst. Go give @MineTanBodySkin a follow while you’re at it #MineTan) – taking a little time away from your designated workspace allows for a fresh burst of energy making you more productive when you get back to work!

5. Know when it’s time to call it a day.

We get it – those mid-day trips to the fridge add up and it’s not like you have a work commute to get home… so why not keep powering through a little longer? However, it’s vital for your sanity to close up shop at the same time you normally would if you were working from the office. One of the benefits of working from home is the flexibility, but it is still important to maintain your routine. We suggest ending your day by putting your laptop and papers away (to avoid any potential wine spills, obviously) and lathering on some End of Day Tan Milk to lock in moisture and treat your skin to the silky smooth golden finish it deserves. Cheers, you WFM bronze babe!
