Tanning Stains and Clothing
Not many things can be more annoying than the presence of unsightly spray tan stains on clothing. A dark spray tan stain is indeed a quick way to ruin the look of a white summer dress, after all. Fortunately, tanning stains aren’t the end of the world. There are numerous effective techniques that can indeed do away with conspicuous tanning stains on apparel. Baby wipes can often work like a charm for getting rid of spray tans on attire. Gently rub the stain using baby wipes. Try to do this as soon as you notice the stain for optimal results. The newer the stain is, the more effective baby wipes should be for eliminating it.
Stain Removal Products
Stain removal product can be good for getting rid of persistent spray tan stains. Scour the stain using a stain remover. Afterward, use cold H20 to rinse it clean. You may have to do this several times in a row to experience good results.
Water and Lemon Juice
Blend water and lemon juice together. Then immerse the stain in the blend. Allow the mixture to remain on the stain for roughly half an hour or so. Then examine the stain to see whether or not it has gone away. If it hasn’t, immerse it once more in lemon water that’s fresh. Keep doing this until the stain no longer is visible.
Put a little dishwashing liquid on a damp cloth and then softly massage it into the stain on your clothing. Once you’re done, use cold water to rinse it off. Continue doing this until you can no longer spot the stain.
If you don’t have a lot of time to take care of your self tan stain, employ warm water and put your affected clothing in the washing machine. If washing it this way doesn’t get rid of the frustrating stain the first time, do it again until it finally goes away.
Pat the tanning stain on your clothing using club soda you purchased at your local supermarket. Club soda can be a great form of spot treatment. If you’re wearing a dress that has a tanning stain and simply don’t have enough time to go home and change out of it, club soda can make a terrific quick fix for you. Just remember to refrain from massaging the fabric, however. Doing so can cause the tan pigments and bronzer to travel further down into the material of your apparel. Since that’s the last thing you want, spot treatment is the way to go.
