How to Get Rid of Cellulite

Dealing with cellulite can feel like a personal battle, but the truth is that cellulite affects the majority of women regardless of their age, shape and size. While weight and body fat percentage are linked to cellulite, genetics are the biggest culprit behind the stubborn dimples under your skin. Although some cosmetic products and procedures are marketed as miracle solutions for eradicating cellulite, their claims are mostly exaggerated. The bad news no woman wants to hear is that cellulite is almost impossible to get rid of altogether. On the upside, the appearance of cellulite can be dramatically reduced on any budget. From surgical treatments to sunless tanning formulas, there are a number of effective treatments and products you can try to fade your cellulite fast.

  • Cut out processed foods. Toxins that are found in fast food and packaged products can dramatically increase the appearance of cellulite. Replace bad foods with lean proteins, vegetables and fruits to decrease cellulite and infuse your skin with the nutrients it needs to look healthy at any age.
  • Drink more water. Dehydration can contribute to cellulite and make your skin appear dull and unhealthy. To improve your skin’s health and appearance, drink water throughout the day. If you are not a fan of plain drinking water, try adding a slice of fruit to your glass for a naturally low-calorie drink that tastes great. Drink extra water on days when you have salty foods, coffee or alcohol to make up for their dehydrating effects.
  • Go tanning at a sunless tanning salon. Because pale skin magnifies flaws and makes cellulite stand out, going darker can be just what you need to get an instant confidence boost.
  • Consider medical treatments. Liposuction and other surgical procedures are becoming increasingly popular for cellulite reduction, but they can cause serious complications. Only you can decide if plastic surgery is the right option for you. Talk to your doctor to learn more about the pros and cons of surgical treatments before you make a final decision. If you feel that plastic surgery is too extreme, keep in mind that there are laser treatments that can fade cellulite over time and other non-invasive procedures you can try to avoid the dangerous side effects associated with surgery.

Eliminating Cellulite with Sunless Tanning

Tanning is one of the quickest and most affordable solutions to fighting cellulite effectively. Dark colour is naturally slimming, and it can hide cellulite and other skin imperfections. Because exposing your skin to the sun’s UV rays is extremely harmful, opt for sunless tanning formulas to get your colour fix. For fast and fabulous results, try spray tanning. Just one session can cover your cellulite by deepening your natural skin colour and evening out your skin tone.
